Our firm’s founding Partner, Joseph Weworski, served as both Managing Partner and lead auditor on higher education client financial statement and compliance audit engagements for over 32 years.  Joseph retired from the firm in 2025 and instilled a commitment to quality and customer service that carries on with the firm.

Partner Team

  • Brett is the firm’s Managing Partner and has over 20 years of public accounting experience. Brett is the Partner in charge of the firm’s Financial Statement Audit Department. He excels in providing quality and timely customer service to our higher education clients primarily in the areas of financial statement and pension plan auditing. Brett has extensive experience in auditing private colleges and universities and employee benefit plans. He is also instrumental in providing clients with recommendations for improving financial reporting processes.

    Brett earned his degree in accounting from California State University San Marcos. He holds a Certified Public Accountant license in California, Arizona, and Hawaii and holds a current membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

  • Jack is a Partner in the firm’s Financial Statement Audit Department. He is primarily responsible for overseeing financial statement audits and client services. He has over 14 years of experience with W&A and he focuses 100% of this time on serving our firm’s higher education and non-profit clients.

    Jack earned his degree in accounting from Bucknell University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with current membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

  • Chris is the Partner in charge of the firm’s Compliance Audit and Tax Department. He is responsible for overseeing compliance audits of the Federal Title IV student financial aid programs and other federally funded programs in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and the Uniform Guidance Single Audit requirements.

    Prior to joining Weworski & Associates, Chris served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. Chris then went on to earn his degree in accounting and has over 13 years of experience as a professional with our firm and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Chris has current membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
